What the API gives you

Small on purpose: one address, three fields, clear answers.

One address

POST /api/v1/messages with your key in the x-api-key header.

Three fields

The number, the text of up to 1,600 characters, and a link to a media file if you want one.

Clear answers

202 when the message was accepted, and 401, 409 or 422 with the reason when it was not.

The same rules as a campaign

A message sent through the API waits in the same queue and keeps the pace and the hours of the line. It goes out from the first connected line of the account.

  • The key is stored as a hash, not as text
  • A removed contact is not messaged
  • A person you message through the API is recorded with the API as the source of consent

    In API and integrations, in the panel.

  2. Call the address

    From your code or from an automation tool.

  3. See it go out

    The message is sent from your line at its pace.

Good to know

The API sends messages. It does not push incoming replies or delivery events to your system today: replies are read in the panel. A message is sent only while a line is connected.

Is this the official WhatsApp Business API?

No. It is the API of ENIGMA 360° WA Sender, which sends from your own WhatsApp account as a linked device.

Does the API cost extra?

No. It is included in every plan.

What if my key leaks?

Revoke it in the panel and create a new one. A key is shown only once, when it is created.

Can I send an image?

Yes. Add a link to the file in the media_url field.
